Clinical learning is a key element of this course and students will be required to undertake 800 hours of professional experience placement in a variety of settings with different health organisations. Students will develop their skills and knowledge through a combination of theoretical and extensive clinical learning experiences including simulated training across the University’s nationally located Clinical Learning Centres. The Clinical Learning Centres are designed to simulate a real-world setting for students to safely practice in. Through this course students will acquire skills to provide person-centered care and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Students will seek evidence to ensure safe quality practice and act in a professional, ethical and compassionate manner. In addition, students will learn to nurture the development of nursing as a practice discipline and demonstrate leadership in healthcare. For more course information, visit Bachelor of Nursing.
