In this degree, you’ll develop the skills needed to work as an occupational therapist, delivering life-changing outcomes to people of all ages. You’ll learn how to enable people to do the activities (or occupations)they need or want to do in order to live a meaningful life, but have difficulty with due to illness, injury or other disadvantages. You’ll study occupational therapy theory and practice, occupational science and other sciences such as psychology, sociology and anatomy. Our exceptional facilities and labs provide an unrivalled learning experience. You’ll have the opportunity to learn in unique environments including our $150 million Griffith Health Centre and an immersive virtual learning environment, as well as on-site clinics for student placements in allied health, occupational and physical therapy labs for hands-on practice. Through professional placements you’ll apply the skills and knowledge you have learnt to real life situations, preparing you for the wide range of opportunities available in this in-demand field. New applications lodged after 8 December 2025 may not be assessed in time for the January offer round. Applications for this program close 29 December 2025, so applicants may add this program to their preferences until this date, however no guarantee is given that applications will be assessed in time for the January offer round. After 29 December 2025, no new applicants can apply, but existing applicants can reorder this preference. Late offers after the January offer round will only be made if places remain in the program.
